DISCLAIMER
Homeless To Independence Inc. is a 501©3 non-profit organization. We are self supporting and we do NOT receive any government grant funding what-so-ever to pay bills for anyone in any situation. We do not give away money. We do not give out loans against any money.
This ministry is supported with generous financial donations that are used to help keep us functioning. Our purpose is to help supply individuals and families with personal needs such as food, toiletries, clothing, household items and baby/adult diapers/wipes both locally and to areas affected by disasters . At this time, we do not offer any shelter or transitional housing services. Again, we DO NOT pay any bills. We DO NOT pay any rents or mortgages.
If you are actually homeless, or about to be homeless or need emergency assistance of any kind, DIAL “211” from a land-line telephone. This will not work from a cell telephone. Tell the receiver your situation and what you need. They will give you information specific for the location you are currently in plus any referrals you may need. They have the most up to the minute information for your specific area. Dialing “211” will get you help and much more info than this office can provide. Homeless to Independence wants you to have all the information you need to get through the situation you are in.
Don’t have a land-line telephone??? Go to your local police department, library, or house of worship and ask to use their land-line telephone. They may even make the call on your behalf.

10-22-26 just a bit of this week’s outreach
Homeless To Independence Inc Feed Quakertown Project on Sunday 10-18-26 delivered fresh, hot and refrigerated foods to families and individuals in Quakertown, PA. This food, such as freshly made cold sandwiches, desserts and snacks, fresh rolls and finger foods were donated by Bistro 1015 #315, The Lunch Box in shop #328A, along with slices of pizza and garlic knots from Fino’s Pizza #339, and bagels from Bee & Butterfly #450 all in the Quakertown Farmers Market –
Please support these awesome businesses!
PLEASE NOTE: ALL OF THE PERISHABLE FOODS GIVEN OUT ARE WITHIN THE 72-HOUR PREP GUIDELINES!
This week, fresh green and hot peppers from a Quakertown neighbor’s garden went with fresh baked goods from the Garden Spot Bakery #371 to the Quakertown Food Pantry, in Quakertown PA on Tuesday, October 20th, 2026.
Packages of snacks and cookies donated by The Lunch Box in shop #328A in the Qmart, were delivered to Angels Table in Quakertown PA on Tuesday October 20th, 2026.
On Sunday, October 18th, 2026 after we feed the homeless and those in need, we dropped off winter outerwear and winter clothing to St. Stephen’s Clothing Closet in Perkasie, PA
Again on Friday, October 16th, 2026 – Another bag full of brand new throws and a beautiful bathrobe was sent by an anonymous angel for the homeless 3rd floor people currently in medical rehab. Most of you know Tex, the gentleman that rode into Quakertown many years ago – he is in assisted living and most of the people on his 3rd floor are unhoused folks – they are in need of blankets, slippers, robes/housecoats. Through an anonymous angel that visits Tex, Homeless To Independence Inc. is in the process of sending, as we receive them, these items that are being given out to those folks in need!
You are welcome to also donate these items specifically for these folks.
BRING TO THE SHOP OR EMAIL Ann@homelesstoindependence.org for pickup!
We can always use volunteers to help sort and ready the clothing!
Just email me at ann@homelesstoindependence.org – thank you!
I WANT TO REITERATE – when you drop off your clothing donations here – your clothing will go out to those in need for free!
It will NOT be sold here! We have donors that specifically donate for us to sell and raise funds – AND WE HAVE PLENTY!
We are now accepting fall & winter clothing for all ages and sizes – this clothing will be given away for FREE by clothing closets and smaller orgs that assist with these needs.
Please feel free to drop off at our shop below.
Please remember, that if you are in the Greater Quakertown, PA area and just have a small amount of non-perishable goods, all types of cleaning products, adult incontinence items, wheelchairs/walkers/canes, you are welcome to drop off at our:

09-17-26 Homeless To Independence Inc.’s Sunday Feeding Program for Quakertown PA
Homeless To Independence Inc. is looking in the Quakertown area for a senior or two and/or a family in need of freshly made leftover food from local eateries – it will be within the 72-hour Department of Health window.
We are starting off with a family or a couple of seniors that are struggling to make ends meet. As the amount of donated food possibly increases so will the number of people that will receive this experience.
This is the start of our “Sunday Quakertown Feeding Program”
1. There is no guarantee of how much or what the products will be – and it will also be freezable at times – at times it may be something in addition to your main meal –
2. AT THIS TIME – There is no guarantee of sugar free, and/or no/less salt – it is regular eatery food from local establishments that are coming together to help their neighbors in need;
3. Being geared to seniors that are struggling with the choice of purchasing their medications and purchasing food or a family going through a similar circumstances;
4. You will need your own plates and cutlery;
5. There may be a waiting list if this works out – however I will do everything within my power to bring even more eateries from our area into the fold and;
6. I will personally be delivering approximately 5:30pm on Sunday evenings to start.
I have personally reached out to various local organizations to pass these goodies on – however, no one has contacted me back – So I will take it upon myself to find folks in need and do what we are called to do when these opportunities arise.
The how to:
Reach out to me ONLY via email – ann@homelesstoindependence.org and
put the words “Sunday Meals” in the subject line;’
In that email I will need:
a. The name of the head of the home;
b. How many people are in that family at that address – that actually live there;
c. Cell number and address – Quakertown for the most part to start… as the project grows, so will the outreach area.
Please, if you are making ends meet, do not reach out – THIS IS FOR THOSE IN NEED ONLY!
Thank you for supporting Homeless To Independence Inc and the people we serve!

06-26-26 Donating to Homeless To Independence Inc. Guidelines
Thank you for donating your goods to Homeless To Independence Inc. Following is
the how to and the what…
We accept anything as long as it is legal.
a) We do not accept any clothing that has holes, is dirty, with holes in the pockets, no rips or tears.
b) Glassware, pottery, ceramics cannot have breaks, chips, cracks – so much of the older pieces were made with lead and the breaks can harm those handling the pieces.
c) We gladly accept old trains, comics, old games and electronics, old records, camping equipment (for our tent cities outreach in 3-States), etc.
d) Furniture by appointment please – we are currently limited on space and we prefer to have a receiving family ready for your wonderful pieces, as our donated furniture pieces go in that direction.
e) If you have nonperishable and canned foods, that are non expired and don’t have the time to drop off at the food pantry, you are welcome to bring them to our location, during normal Qmart hours and we will get it all dropped during the next week on a weekly basis!
During the holiday seasons, we accept Giant Food Stores Ham Gift Certificates for families in need – they are always needed.
f) Donate a raffle basket for upcoming raffle and 50/50 events.
g) We are always in need of plastic and paper bags (with handles also) – this helps defray the cost of purchasing and helps keep them out of the landfill.
h) Donate your vehicle, camper – we have individuals and families in need – especially vehicles to help them get to their gainful employment.
An official tax receipt if provided for your tax records.

In fact, we’ve left more than $44 billion on the table, in the form of unused gift cards, and an additional $2 billion every year.
“People are letting cash slip away that they could be using FOR THE GREATER GOOD!
40% of gift card recipients do not use the total value of the card.
American households have an average of $300 in unused gift cards.
Please support Homeless To Independence Inc. with the change you have left on those gift cards…

SEPTEMBER 2026 HOMELESS TO INDEPENDENCE INC.’S PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Homeless To Independence Inc. is an extremely active, 20-year-old, all-volunteer, non-profit. We work with the homeless, the working poor, our veterans and their families, and anyone in need due to natural or manmade disasters nationwide and our territories.
With the homeless, we:
- work daily as a need arises assisting them with information to get them into shelters, food, identification, – pointing them in the right direction.
- Pass out donated coats, hats, gloves, scarves, warm clothing especially during the cold weather months;
- Tent cities: we assist with donated tents, camping supplies for cooking, hygiene items, laundry items, blankets, pillows, socks, clothing, sleeping bags, manual can openers, trash bags to gather their trash, zip lock bags (for their important papers) and non-perishable canned foods. We especially pay attention to times when there is excessive rain and help to provide fresh blankets and such, because their items do get wet.
With the working poor, veterans, and their families, we:
- establish relationships with various realtors and private landlords, working with both sides of the fence attempting to successfully bring about a meeting of the minds, with a fair rental package for both the renter and prospective landlord;
- Pass on food and food packages as donated, sometimes perishable during the holidays;
- Pass out donated coats, hats, gloves, scarves, warm clothing especially during the cold weather months;
- Much of our outreach is with tent cities that do house a high percentage of our service veterans.
With those of natural disasters and manmade disasters we:
- Prior to a foreseen event such as a Code Blue Snow/Cold event, incoming tropical storm, hurricane, extreme tornado producing thunderstorms and tornado alerts, tsunami alerts, and the like, we post everything to all our social media venues in real time (all social media venues are listed below);
- work reverently with all the realtors and private landlords asking for them to agree to accept payment from disaster response teams for a period to get their housing back in order.
- We follow with Meteorologist storm chasers during various types of storm events, such as but not limited to; Tornadoes, Tropical storms, Hurricanes, Flooding, Earthquakes, etc. and reach out to local OEM’s (Offices of Emergency Management), Mayors,
Continues the next page…
Governor’s etc. to see how we can assist their folks in need. We have been doing this
since Hurricane Katrina and next is what our mission is…
- Homeless To Independence Inc. does send items to disaster harmed area on a needed basis and are not limited to baby diapers, baby wipes, baby formula, cleaning up supplies, seniors need items such as diabetic socks and more.
PLEASE NOTE: HOMELESS TO INDEPENDENCE, INC. DOES HAVE AN “EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AND DISASTER RESPONSE” PAGE ON OUR WEBSITE FOR EACH STATE/COMMONWEALTH & TERRITORY.

Officially named in 2020, we have been planting fruits and vegetables from seeds and pits for nearly 20 years and passing the plants onto families and individuals in need to help them not only eat healthier but also save money. These plants are raised in 3-gal and 5-gal food grade buckets, and the buckets are turned in at the end of the season and reused the next season. The seeds and pits we use are harvested from the produce we raise and produce we purchase off season. Everything we use is non-GMO.
Our current season started on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. This year we expanded and harvested produce will be passed onto local food panties such as Quakertown Food Pantry and local Angel’s Table that feeds those in need plus the River of Life Food Pantry in Phillipsburg NJ.
We did reach out to the residents and farmers – which we had a great response from residents that had gardens that mass produced and after passing onto their friends, family and neighbors they passed the balance onto the Seeds Of Shop Project when we passed it along!
Some of the resident gardeners even harvested seeds and passed them onto us for our upcoming 2027 season.
We are always looking for volunteers, donations of seeds, soil, food grade 3- & 5-gallon buckets and/or financial donations.

Homeless To Independence Inc. is dedicated to helping families and individuals with items of need such as clothing and household goods within the State of New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New York, Maryland, and Delaware. There is currently a closed waiting list because the need is so severe. We do not pass on broken, ripped, smelly, dirty, or buggy items – in fact we do NOT take items in those conditions.
On October 1st, 2026, our 21st Annual Multi-State Winter Outerwear Drive will be starting. Last year we served well over 40K people in 5-States with winter outerwear items this season. Due to the longer cold weather season during the year 2025/2026, we continued and ended March 31st, 2026.
Continued the next page…
We collaborate with various entities, such as tent cities, homeless organizations, meal services, elementary school social workers, domestic violence shelters, etc. in passing these items out.
As stated above, our 2026 season will start on Thursday, October 1st, 2026 and will run through the end of February 2027 unless the very cold weather continues them we will run through March 2027.
- All clothing items collected are sorted warm weather and cold weather. All off-season clothing is packed in totes and stored for the upcoming season.

The door is always open. The house is safe. Coffee can be on in minutes, and the kitchen bench is a place of peace and non-judgment. Anyone who needs to chat is welcome anytime. Never suffer in silence. I have food in the fridge, coffee and tea in the cupboard, listening ears, a shoulder to cry on and prayer to share. I will always be available and you are always welcome!
This is an old value that has been lost to technology. A text, face-time, or emoji is not the equivalent of making time for those we love or care about!
P.S My home is not a prize home but my cups are clean & the love you get is genuine.
Could at least one friend please copy and re-post (not share) I’m trying to demonstrate that someone is always listening, you are never really alone!
