DISCLAIMER

Homeless To Independence Inc. is a 501©3 non-profit organization. We are self supporting and we do NOT receive any government grant funding what-so-ever to pay bills for anyone in any situation. We do not give away money. We do not give out loans against any money.

This ministry is supported with generous financial donations that are used to help keep us functioning. Our purpose is to help supply individuals and families with personal needs such as food, toiletries, clothing, household items, furniture and baby/adult diapers/wipes both locally and to areas effected by disasters . At this time, we do not offer any shelter or transitional housing services. Again, we DO NOT pay any bills. We DO NOT pay any rents or mortgages.

If you are actually homeless, or about to be homeless or need emergency assistance of any kind, DIAL “211” from a land-line telephone. This will not work from a cell telephone. Tell the receiver your situation and what you need. They will give you information specific for the location you are currently in plus any referrals you may need. They have the most up to the minute information for your specific area. Dialing “211” will get you help and much more info than this office can provide. Homeless to Independence wants you to have all the information you need to get through the situation you are in.

Don’t have a land-line telephone??? Go to your local police department, library, or house of worship and ask to use their land-line telephone. They may even make the call on your behalf.

06-30-21 HOMELESS TO INDEPENDENCE INC UPDATE FOR EVERYONE…
Hello everyone!

Back on Thursday, June 10, 2021 I fell backwards down my steps while taking groceries into my camper. While I did not hit my head, (I did have brain surgery in March 2018 to remove a huge tumor), it totally shook and bruised my body.

While we have not been out to the garden that much, we have been planting seedlings and starting plants from kitchen scraps and they have been growing here at the camper. I will have pictures later today for everyone to see how it is coming along.

We will be back at the garden next Tuesday, July 6th, 2021 and we will be setting up the buckets, decorating the buckets, getting everything squared away.

We still need volunteers, from the Greater Quakertown PA area to help with weeding, watering, prepping more seeds from donated vegetables and all of that good stuff associated with gardening!

please reach out to me at: ann@homelesstoindependence.org
that is the very quickest way to reach me!

In addition to that nasty fall I took, a business in the East Stroudsburg, PA area just donated 8-9 pallets of clothing, 5-6 pallets of electric fans, a pallet of cleaning solutions, and a pallet of 25# bags of rock salt. We also have to have all of that moved by tomorrow, July 1, 2021 – which we will.

And due to all of this activity, it is truly hard for two (2) people to get all of this accomplished. Therefore, I will be somewhat able to keep the jobs and job fairs up to date on our website www.homelesstoindependence.org, however there will be no emails sent until the end of August 2021.

I will definitely keep the housing lists emailed as the listings open and or I get a closing announcement on any list. (that of which some will be sent today that I did receive the information for within the past 2-days).

Thank you everyone! for supporting Homeless To Independence Inc. and the people we serve!

HOMELESS TO INDEPENDENCE INC.’S PROJECT DESCRIPTION

08-12-20

***************************************************

The door is always open. The house is safe. Coffee can be on in minutes, and the kitchen bench is a place of peace and non-judgment. Anyone who needs to chat is welcome anytime. Never suffer in silence. I have food in the fridge, coffee and tea in the cupboard, listening ears, a shoulder to cry on and prayer to share. I will always be available and you are always welcome!

This is an old value that has been lost to technology. A text, face-time, or emoji is not the equivalent of making time for those we love or care about!

P.S My home is not a prize home but my cups are clean & the love you get is genuine.

Could at least one friend please copy and re-post (not share) I’m trying to demonstrate that someone is always listening, you are never really alone!
