DISCLAIMER
Homeless To Independence Inc. is a 501©3 non-profit organization. We are self supporting and we do NOT receive any government grant funding what-so-ever to pay bills for anyone in any situation. We do not give away money. We do not give out loans against any money.
This ministry is supported with generous financial donations that are used to help keep us functioning. Our purpose is to help supply individuals and families with personal needs such as food, toiletries, clothing, household items and baby/adult diapers/wipes both locally and to areas affected by disasters . At this time, we do not offer any shelter or transitional housing services. Again, we DO NOT pay any bills. We DO NOT pay any rents or mortgages.
If you are actually homeless, or about to be homeless or need emergency assistance of any kind, DIAL “211” from a land-line telephone. This will not work from a cell telephone. Tell the receiver your situation and what you need. They will give you information specific for the location you are currently in plus any referrals you may need. They have the most up to the minute information for your specific area. Dialing “211” will get you help and much more info than this office can provide. Homeless to Independence wants you to have all the information you need to get through the situation you are in.
Don’t have a land-line telephone??? Go to your local police department, library, or house of worship and ask to use their land-line telephone. They may even make the call on your behalf.

- Seal securely: Drain the excess water, place the damp fireworks in a sealed plastic bag and consider double-bagging them for added safety.
- Dispose properly: Place the sealed bag in your regular household trash, and never throw away fireworks that are still warm, dry or partially ignited.

4th of July Celebration in Downtown Vacaville
VACAVILLE, Calif. – The City of Vacaville Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at Vacaville’s free 4th of July celebration Saturday, July 4, 2026, beginning at 6:30 PM at the CreekWalk Plaza at Andrews Park.
The evening will feature live entertainment by Fog City Swampers, a classic rock band, followed by a fireworks display (weather dependent). Community members are encouraged to gather with family, neighbors, and friends for this patriotic celebration in the heart of downtown Vacaville.
Attendees will enjoy a variety of food vendors, non-food vendors, and community organizations, including Daughters of the Revolution (DAR), Rowland Freedom Center, Peña Adobe Historical Society, Vacaville Heritage Council, and more! Guests are also encouraged to capture memories at Pixcbooth. The fireworks show follows the concert at approximately 9:15 to 9:30 PM.
Can’t make it? No problem. Watch the livestream on the City’s YouTube channel.
No outside alcohol or glass containers are allowed. No smoking, no weapons, no tents, and no pets (service animals are permitted). Lawn chairs, blankets, and water in small coolers no larger than 16 quarts will be permitted.
Remember that in the City of Vacaville, all fireworks, including safe and sane, are illegal. Be safe and leave the fireworks to the pros. The City hires trained pyrotechnics and will have fire personnel on hand to ensure a safe fireworks experience for everyone. Please note that a Red Flag Warning or high winds will cancel the fireworks portion of the evening.
Road closures for this event are as follows: Davis, Elizabeth, Main, E. Main, McClellan, Merchant, School, and Wilson streets will be closed at 5:00 PM. Monte Vista between Dobbins & Markham streets will be closed at 8:00 PM. All streets will reopen following the conclusion of the fireworks show. View the street closures map online.

¿No puedes asistir?
About City of Vacaville
The City of Vacaville, incorporated in 1892, is located in northern Solano County, on the I-80 corridor. Vacaville is strategically located midway between the state capitol of California, Sacramento, and the San Francisco Bay Area. The City currently occupies a land area of roughly 27 square miles and is home to more than 103,000 residents. Vacaville’s central location provides residents and visitors flexibility with “day trip” to beaches, Lake Tahoe, and the Napa wine country. However, they need not look further than Vacaville for a wide range of arts and entertainment opportunities, including the Vacaville Performing Arts Theater. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Lagoon Valley Park provides the opportunity to fish, hike, and sail in a scenic, natural setting. Other options include enjoying the downtown with a stroll along the beautiful Creekwalk, catching a movie, or hitting the ice at the skating center. Residents and visitors enjoy an expanding choice of restaurants in the revitalized, historic downtown, and some of the best shopping in the area with a thriving retail district along Interstate 80 that includes one of the largest factory outlet complexes in California.
