Volunteer Opportunity – Staff Manager/Volunteer Coordinator

Homeless To Independence Inc. is expanding and in need of a passionate and enthusiastic volunteer to manage it’s volunteer workforce. This person will work closely with Ann Martin-Frey, Founder and Executive Director, keeping track of records/files, training, recruiting and maintaining our workforce. An excellent opportunity for anyone 18 or over!!
We need someone experienced with strong office and communication skills, record keeping and management. Must be professional and compassionate. Bi-lingual a plus. Travel a possibility in the future at company’s expense. This position will be in Monmouth County, NJ as of March 2011.

Volunteer Opportunity – Department of Emergency Services Manager
Volunteer Opportunity Details:
This person, under the direction of the Founder and Executive Director, will work closely with but no limited to
the State of New Jersey, all 21-counties within New Jersey and all municipalities and townships within New
Jersey OEM’s, United States Department of Homeland Security and FEMA. This position will work into a multi-state
position and then a nationwide position once funding is attained. First Aid Training for all Homeless To
Independence Inc. volunteers will also be a huge responsibility for this position. A close working relationship will
also be needed with the Public Information Manager. This position will be based in Monmouth County, New Jersey
commencing March 2011.
Requirements include but are not limited to: Must have first aid training – training certifications a plus. Must take
FEMA courses and gain certificates. Must have good public speaking skills, as well as, good computer skills. Must
be weather oriented. Must be highly responsible and love to help others when the need arises!

and more. This position will be based in Monmouth County, New Jersey as of March 2011.
Must be professional, responsible and compassionate. Must account for every penny donated and deposit in
Homeless To Independence Inc.’s business account in proper timely manner.
Must have some background of fund raising experience. Must be willing to travel statewide – expenses to be paid
by Homeless To Independence Inc.

Homeless To Independence Inc. is currently run by private donations and does not receive any grant funding at
this time. Our staff consists currently of four very active board members plus 12 other solid volunteers.
We have expanded to a point that we are in need of grants to continue to grow and help more people in need. Our
vision is to expand out of the State of New Jersey providing our signature services to those in need.
You will work very closely with members of our board of directors pulling together all the information needed to
submit effective grants and proposals.
Hours can be PT or FT to fit your daily activities. Veterans, retired seniors and the disabled are more than
welcome aboard!
Must have grant and proposal writing experience – even if you have experience with assisting with writing please

Homeless To Independence Inc. is expanding and we want to offer our website services to our non-English
reading & speaking friends.
Spanish, Polish, French, German – ALL languages are welcome!
Transfer all pages of the websites pages from English to language of your choosing and them upkeep of
information on a daily basis. This is not a one-person position per language – numerous people will be needed for
this long project.
Included but not limited to:
Must be proficient in your native tongue or at least 4-years of experience with transfer from English to your
language.
Must have computer and internet.
Must be willing to check your assigned pages occasionally for updates to translate properly and efficiently
after website is up and running.

Donations Pickup & Delivery Drivers Needed
Volunteer Opportunity Details:
Homeless To Independence Inc. has expanded to a point that we need volunteers to pick up and deliver donations
within the county that they reside. Some times food, some times clothing and some times small to medium sized
household items and furniture – the largest bed size we accommodate is full size – to be delivered to individuals,
collaborating agencies and street ministries to help others in need. You will be on a team with one or more
people. Furniture items in 99.99% of deliveries will be to the door only – the receiving family will be responsible
for having people there to bring the items inside – this is set up ahead of time. No work is done in rain or storm
conditions.
One Saturday a month, more if you would like – starting in March of 2011. Use of your vehicle is required at this
time – preferably a truck – until our fleet is started. Mileage write-off per Internal Revenue Service guidelines.
Back braces and hand-trucks will be provided by Homeless To Independence Inc.
One 4-hour training session. Training sessions periodically. Must be at least 18 years old and responsible with a
good driving record. Proof of auto insurance required.
Great opportunity for Churches and other organizations as a group to help out their community!

Driver’s Assistants for Pickup and Delivery of Donations
Volunteer Opportunity Details:
Assists the driver with locating the address’ of pickups and deliveries of donated items such as food, clothing and
small/medium sized furniture to families, ministries and collaborating agencies. Assists the driver with carrying,
loading, tarping and strap down of items on truck. Assists driver with unloading and delivery of items on truck. All
within the county that you reside.
Back braces and hand-trucks will be provided by Homeless To Independence Inc. Volunteer as little as 4 hours a
month.
One 4-hours training session required. Must be neat and presentable.

Volunteer Opportunity – State Resources Technicians Needed For Every State and the District of Columbia
Volunteer Opportunity Details:
Homeless To Independence Inc. has a vast website covering every state in the United States of America plus the
District of Columbia. Pages for each state include, but are not limited to “Employment”, “Affordable Housing”,
“Emergency Services”, “Happening’s” and more. We literally need a person for each page to research and provide
information vital to help others in need. Once you choose and are assigned a page you will be responsible for
collecting and reporting this information to Ann Martin-Frey, Founder and Executive Director of Homeless To
Independence Inc. for posting to the website. Just your first-name, last name initial and your city and state will be
posted to the individual page giving you credit for your work – no other information will be released about you to
protect your privacy. These positions may lead to employment once funding is established.
Must have computer and internet as this volunteer work is done online for the most part currently. Online
webinars for training will be conducted to accommodate everyone throughout the United States who works on
this huge project.
Work when you want from the comfort of your home until we set up offices in your state and community. These
positions may lead to a paid management position when funding is established.
